About myself
My name is Altanchimeg,
I am a new member of UB Toastmaster. Therefore, I am here to give my first
speech. Today I am going talk about myself, especially about my career.
First, I have a question
for you all. Have you experienced quitting two different jobs
because of one person? … Actually, they were two
different organizations, different positions. How is it possible? Anyway,
it happened to me.
Let me share what I did
in the past. After I graduated my university, I was welcomed to teach at the
university. That job gave me
opportunities to major in the information system’s master degree. That was a
great opportunity for me. But most importantly I learned from my coworkers, how
I should teach my subject to students, how I communicate with
students and teachers, how I manage the time, how to use take note.
That is the way I really liked that job, but after 3 years I had to quit my
beautiful job. Why? Because the lady was the reason that I quit my job.
Okay, let me talk about my second job, it was at Expert in
Software planning in the Information technology Agency of Ulaanbaatar.
That is a governmental organization. I worked there for 3 years, during those
periods I had been worked on many projects. The final year, I worked there, I
had just started a very big project which is the biggest and main project in
our organization. It was planned to continue 5 to 10 years, I worked on
that project very hard that time. But unfortunately, I had to quit my amazing
job again. She was the reason to quit my job too.
Very importantly, what
was our relationship really like?
When I leave my job, it
was very hard for me. That time, I insulted her very much. The same thing
happened to me twice because of her. But now, when I
think back, even though we had a relationship issues, she was the one who
pushed me to a new life level. Without her, I could not quit my first
and second jobs, I might be still at the University or in the second job. So,
finally, I forgive her.
At the end of presentation, I want to introduce
what I to do now
So, I am a software engineer in General
Election Commission of Mongolia. I have been working here for almost 4 years.
The work gives me more opportunities than other jobs. During the Election year,
we work very hard and persistently. Non-election year, we have a chance for
spend some time for learning and self-developing. So I received these
chances twice. First one was a short training funded by an Indian government. I
learned web designing, for 3 months in New Delhi. Next training was 2 months
Internship for Chinese training in China. The Chinese company covered
everything. These training both gave memorable moments and
good experience to me.
I love what I do now. I
don’t know how long I will work here. But I am pretty sure if I leave this job,
I will find more opportunity job. Because at last, I understood
that: “when one door is closed, another will open”
That is all I have to
say about my career. Thank you for your attention.
